Group 7.5: Photography

“A picture says more than a thousand words.” Pictures are the first thing that catches our eye when we open a book or a newspaper. Our attention is almost magically attracted by them. Pictures affect us, we cannot pass over them easily. They have many functions and an immense impact. They capture events, they inform us, they show us a reality and they can be a proof. But they can also be manipulated and serve somebody’s interests. The participants should discuss and discover what photography means to the realisation of human rights. They should also take their cameras and act during the week.
